Job summary

Baylands Golf Links in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a motivated part-time Greenskeeper to join our course maintenance team. You will contribute to a positive member and guest experience while growing knowledge of golf course operations.

The Greenskeeper maintains landscaping around the course, operates irrigation and equipment, mows greens and fairways, and supports seasonal improvements. This is a hands-on role with a strong emphasis on reliability, teamwork, and careful attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Highly organized, efficient and detail oriented.
• Ability to design, coordinate and maintain landscaping on the golf course.
• Ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance.
• Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility.
• Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas.
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water.
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary.
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways.
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds.
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. Compensation

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Summary

The Greenskeeper is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course.
