Job summary

CT State Community College invites applications for an on-site Instructor (tenure track) at the Housatonic campus in Bridgeport, CT. The full-time, 10-month position requires teaching 30 credit hours per academic year across lecture, hybrid, and online formats.

Start date is Spring 2027, with a closing date of October 28, 2026. Responsibilities include course development, student advising, and ongoing curriculum improvement, as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts or a related discipline.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Teach thirty (30) credit hours per academic year in lecture, hybrid, and/or online formats.
• Develop syllabi and reading lists and maintain up-to-date course materials.
• Respond to students, peers, and external agencies with professionalism and collaboration.
• Participate in program reviews, accreditation activities, and curriculum development.
• Attend workshops, conferences, and events to remain current in the field.
