Job summary

CT State Community College is seeking a tenure-track Instructor for the Manchester, CT campus. The position is full-time, 10-month, teaching 30 credit hours annually in a range of formats (lecture, hybrid, online) with day and evening classes.

Minimum qualifications require a Master’s in Manufacturing or related field, strong communication skills, and ability to work with diverse student populations. Salary is around $69,035 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Manufacturing or a related discipline.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Teach thirty (30) credit hours per academic year in the assigned discipline.
• Offer courses in lecture, hybrid, and/or online formats with day/evening schedules.
• Evaluate and assess student learning outcomes.
• Provide student support, mentoring, and academic advising.
• Develop curriculum and periodically review instructional materials.
• Assist with program reviews and accreditation-related activities.
• Plan and execute program-related events.
• Attend workshops, trainings, and professional conferences to maintain currency.
