The Partnership for Maternal & Child Health of Northern New Jersey is seeking a Director of Grants and Planning to drive winning proposals and grant management across federal, state, and private funders. You will align strategy with program teams and finance, overseeing the grant lifecycle from opportunity to award and ensuring compliant, high‑quality submissions.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of grant writing experience; governmental proposals experience preferred.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience; staff development.
• Experience in maternal and child health, public health, or community-based human services.
• Experience developing long-term strategic initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; funder-aligned narratives.
• Experience managing cross-department projects to deadline; collaborative leadership.
• Proficiency with MS Office and federal/state grant submission systems.

• Lead the organization's competitive grant pipeline across private, state, and federal funders.
• Coordinate proposals from opportunity to award with cross-department input.
• Write private, state, and federal proposals.
• Project manage each grant proposal: kickoff, inputs, deadlines, progress tracking.
• Maintain proposal schedules and resolve bottlenecks with senior leadership.
• Shape program designs, budgets, and targets in line with funder priorities.
• Provide final quality review of proposals for alignment with criteria and voice.
• Map and improve grants administration workflows from award through closeout.
• Develop standard processes for renewals, budget timelines, and contract closeouts.
• Maintain a single grant compliance calendar with deadlines across the portfolio.
• Provide input on staff performance in grants administration.
