Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals seeks a Director of Grants Development and Management to lead efforts securing funding for System programs from public and private sources. You will oversee proposal development, coordinate grant activities, and ensure regulatory compliance across Federal, State, and City levels.

Reporting to the Director, you will supervise staff, set department objectives, collaborate with auditors, and drive strategic grant opportunities and program impact across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of progressively responsible experience in public administration/health care planning and grants management.
• Master’s degree in related disciplines.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and administering the program for securing grant support for various System programs from funding sources.
• Writes and prepares grants for submission according to specifications and timeframes.
• Supervises and trains staff as assigned by Director. Monitors work in progress.
• Develops strategies for improvement of grant funded health care programs and assesses resources and priorities.
• Coordinates meetings and acts for the Director with auditors and external agencies.
• Develops department objectives and methods of implementation.
• Supervises grant review criteria development and supports grant review committees.
• Compiles periodic reports and undertakes special projects.
