Job summary

Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) seeks a seasoned fundraising professional to lead its foundation and government grants portfolio, owning the full lifecycle from prospecting to reporting. The Director will craft data-backed narratives and build a diverse, multi-year pipeline while collaborating with program leadership and finance to align proposals with capacity.

The role manages the Development Coordinator, reports to the SVP Strategic Partnerships, and works toward expanding PHA's

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of nonprofit development experience with a track record of securing five- and six-figure grants.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Exceptional grant writing and editing skills translating program impact into data-backed narratives.
• Strong relationship-building and pipeline development skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow the foundation and government grants portfolio, targeting $3M+ in annual revenue across the full lifecycle.
• Develop and execute a year-round grants strategy diversifying funding and building a multi-year pipeline of partners.
• Write, edit, and manage compelling grant proposals, LOIs, and funder reports translating impact into a case for support.
• Supervise Development Coordinator and coordinate with executive sponsors on marquee relationships.
• Represent PHA with funders, partners, and at sector convenings; ensure proposals align with program design and outcomes.
