Job summary

Firefly Children & Family Alliance in Indianapolis, Indiana is seeking a full-time Grants Coordinator. You will manage grant administration, budget tracking, and programmatic reporting across state, federal, and private funders.

You will collaborate with program directors, accounting, and development staff to ensure timely proposals, accurate expenditures, and compliant documentation. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of grant administration or management experience preferred.
• Experience with state and federal grants preferred.
• Experience in nonprofit or human services environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day administration and tracking of grants, including deadlines, expenditures, documentation, and reporting.
• Prepare grant-related expense reports, check requests, invoices, and other financial documentation.
• Work with program staff to understand grant-funded activities, monitor progress, and support implementation.
• Collaborate with Accounting to prepare financial reports and reconcile expenditures.
• Maintain grant calendar with deadlines, periods, renewals, and milestones.
• Provide updates to Development leadership on grant activities and spending.
• Research funding opportunities aligned with Firefly’s priorities.
• Assist with preparation and submission of grant applications and reports.
• Foster cross-department collaboration and serve as a resource for grant questions.
• Provide administrative and project coordination support to Development and leadership.
