Job summary

Hively seeks an experienced Grants & Contracts Coordinator to manage the full lifecycle of grants and contracts, ensuring compliance, accurate reporting, and timely submissions across multiple funding streams. This role supports private foundations, government agencies, corporations, and other philanthropic sources.

You will collaborate with program staff, finance, and leadership to develop budgets, proposals, and narratives, monitor compliance, maintain records, and prepare reports for funders.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of grant management experience in nonprofit settings.
• Experience budgeting and preparing detailed grant reports and financial documents.
• Familiarity with government contracts and federal regulations (OMB Circulars, 2 CFR 200).
• Strong written and verbal communication for funders, staff, and leadership.
• Ability to learn grant management software and adapt to new tech.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of grants and contracts from prep to reporting.
• Develop budgets and narratives for competitive grant proposals with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor compliance with terms, expenditure guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain records and prepare timely financial and narrative reports for funders.
• Foster positive funder relationships and address inquiries and issues.
• Coordinate with program staff, finance, and leadership to track funds and stay within budget.
• Support internal and external audits with required grant documentation.
• Provide training on grant policies and best practices.
• Contribute to other projects as assigned.
