Job summary

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Grants & Projects Analyst 2 to support the College of Engineering in managing grant proposals from intake to submission. The role emphasizes compliance with sponsor requirements, budgeting, and coordinating with faculty and Sponsored Projects.

Ideal candidates will have a relevant degree and grant experience, with strong communication and analytical skills to ensure timely, accurate proposals and effective post-award support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with two years grants experience or four years grants experience.
• Experience in grant budgeting and compliance monitoring preferred.
• Knowledge of federal grant regulations (Uniform Guidance, NIH, NSF) is a plus.
• ERP systems and financial reporting experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex grant functions and ensure sponsor compliance.
• Oversee proposal intake and submit complete packages through electronic systems.
• Develop and check proposal budgets and sponsor documentation.
• Serve as primary budget contact during planning meetings and coordinate with Sponsored Projects and faculty.
• Provide guidance on sponsor requirements and streamline proposal development.
