Job summary

The University of North Texas in Denton seeks a Research Analyst to support the College of Engineering's sponsored projects, coordinating HR hiring, procurement, travel and reimbursements, and managing scholarships and stipends.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of related experience, with strong communication, budgeting, and reporting skills; you will work with PIs and offices to ensure compliant expenditures and timely updates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and three years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of pre- or post-award administration regulations and procedures.
  • General administrative experience with budgets, purchasing, payroll, travel, scheduling and forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Processing salaried, hourly, nonstudent hourly, and staff hires on sponsored research projects.
  • Assisting students and nonstudents on sponsored projects with appointments and salaries.
  • Purchase supplies/equipment or pay for publication fees for sponsored projects using pcard/epro.
  • Prepare travel and reimbursement vouchers and understand related policies.
  • Assist PIs with budget balance information and grant charts.
  • Review timesheets and stay updated on UNT policies and trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned by the CRO.
