Job summary

West Virginia University’s Regional Research Institute is seeking a Program and Grants Coordinator to support pre- and post-award processes, budgeting, and marketing. This full-time, hybrid role reports to the RRI director and helps manage operations, coordinating grants and procurement tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS and at least two years of administrative or budgeting experience, with strong data analysis and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (BA or BS).
• Two (2) years of experience in administrative or budgeting work.
• Grant and other funding proposal preparation and post-award implementation.
• Budgeting and basic data analysis, including spreadsheets and database management.
• Communicating professionally both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Helps manage the operations of the RRI.
• Coordinates pre-award and/or post-award processes for research and sponsored activities.
• Prepares grant applications, including budgets, salaries, and sub-contracts.
• Monitors compliance of grants with regulations.
• Prepares documents related to procurement, expenses, payroll, and budgets.
• Produces monthly budget reports for tracking grant expenses and distributes to leadership.
• Drafts data for input into grant proposals, award reporting, and other admin processes.
• Organizes meetings and events.
• Provides staff travel and expense support.
• Manages marketing and promotion of the RRI via social media and other channels.
