Job summary

North Slope Borough seeks a program analyst to research and interpret federal, state, and local legislation affecting community programs. The incumbent will organize data, prepare policy recommendations, and assist in program development to support health and social services.

The role requires strong administrative skills, the ability to explain complex policies to diverse stakeholders, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NSB organization, operations, policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of general administrative principles and practices, and knowledge of procedure and policy development.
• Knowledge of methods and means of collecting and evaluating information and data pertinent to social services and related laws.

Responsibilities

• Researches, analyzes federal, state, and local legislation for intent and effects related to programs or projects.
• Explain Department programs to community resources to encourage participation.
• Develops plans for anticipated or existing programs in line with Department goals.
