North Slope Borough seeks a capable leader to supervise project activities and guide Administrators, consultants, and contractors toward timely completion. You will prepare documentation, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with procurement standards while coordinating with multiple agencies and departments.

The role emphasizes project governance, schedule adherence, and staff development, with a focus on quality, cost control, and effective collaboration across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Four years in administrative or managerial roles in construction/engineering.
• Two years with federal, state and borough laws and procedures.
• Valid Alaska driver’s license meeting insurance criteria.
• Ability to obtain CDT certification within one year of hire.
• Ability to obtain CCCA certification within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and trains Project Administrators; coordinate with consultants and contractors.
• Prepare and submit proposals, manuals, contracts, and status reports per procedures.
• Review manuals, specs, drawings, cost estimates, bids and schedules.
• Oversee projects as Borough representative; align goals with budgets and timelines.
• Monitor funds and perform contracting and purchasing per municipal code.
• Support Director in core departmental functions and daily staff operations.
