Job summary
Spence-Chapin in New York City seeks an experienced Foundation Relations and Grants Manager to own a fast-moving grants portfolio, handling record-keeping, template preparation, writing, funder research, and project management. This in-person role reports to the Senior Director, Development & Advancement and supports the Development team.
The position requires deadline-driven collaboration with internal partners, grant-writing excellence, and strong data management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of foundations and grants experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of grants through all grant lifecycle stages: outreach, letters of inquiry, proposals, and post-award work.
- Collaborate with finance and program teams to develop budgets and ensure timely financial reporting to funders.
- Maintain grants data integrity in Raiser's Edge and support tracking and reporting.
- Provide portfolio support to Senior Director and develop grants-management tools from data insights.
- Perform additional duties at the direction of the Senior Director and Development team.
