Job summary

Spence-Chapin, a New York City–based nonprofit with 115+ years of service, seeks an experienced Foundation Relations and Grants Manager.

You will own a fast-moving portfolio of grants, manage all stages, draft letters of inquiry and proposals, perform funder research, and support the Senior Director and Development team. This in-person role offers a salary range of $70,000-$80,000 commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of foundations and grants experience.
• Proficiency with Raiser's Edge or comparable CRM.
• Experience with grant writing and foundation management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of grants across all stages of the lifecycle.
• Draft letters of inquiry and proposals; manage post-award activity.
• Research funders, identify priorities, and connect to program needs.
• Coordinate budgets with finance and ensure timely donor reporting.
