Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking an experienced post-award finance professional to oversee grants, contracts and clinical trial financial activities within Sponsored Programs Financial Services. You will manage award setup, invoicing, cash management, and monthly close, while ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities include monitoring program finances, preparing sponsor reports, and supporting audits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or business administration.
Ability to interpret fiscal regulations and apply GAAP/Uniform Guidance.
Experience with clinical research or healthcare finance preferred.
Strong problem-solving and judgment in financial/compliance issues.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with grant, contract, and clinical trial terms and sponsor guidelines.
Invoice, monitor cash flow, and manage accounts receivable for programs.
Perform month-end close, journal entries, and GAAP-based reporting.
Prepare financial reports and address discrepancies with management and sponsors.
Manage project closeout, cost shares, and subaward/contract expenses.
Support audits and maintain internal controls with documentation.
