Job summary

JVS SoCal is seeking a Budget Manager – Grants/Contracts Billing & Reporting to oversee grant and contract budgeting, invoicing, collections, and budget tracking. You will work with the Director and program staff to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with GAAP and government requirements.

The role requires a BA or BS in Accounting with 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, non-profit contracting knowledge, and strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables).

Qualifications

• Must have a BA or BS in Accounting (or related courses) and 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Knowledge of and experience working with a non-profit/government contracting environment.
• Familiarity with federal OMB Uniform Guidance and federal contracts a plus.
• Strong analytical, accounting, research and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Prepares program budgets in accordance with contracts and grants.
• Participates in monthly close activities including invoices, accruals, and adjustments.
• Monitors expenditures to budgets and reviews with Directors.
• Prepares reports (e.g., closeout reports) and assists audits.
• Maintains contracts and related data; supports process improvements.
