Job summary

The YMCA of Silicon Valley in San Jose, California seeks a Grant Contract Manager to shape and manage grant contracts, oversee month-end close activities, and assist with billing to ensure compliance with grant requirements.

The role serves as the liaison between the YMCA, school districts, and funding agencies, handling financial reporting, contract administration, audits, and accounting support to promote program success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in accounting/finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in finance, grant management, or contract administration.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal grant regulations affecting YMCA programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Grant and contract management including MOUs with districts and grant compliance.
• Review contracts and budgets to guarantee fund collection and terms.
• Prepare financial reports and support month-end close processes.
• Coordinate audits and respond to grant and contract inquiries.
• Support billing, data entry, and reporting for grants and programs.
• Maintain internal controls and assist with audits and tax returns.
• Train program leaders on grant tracking and compliance.
