Job summary

Community Partners in Los Angeles seeks a Grants Accountant to manage the revenue cycle, grant invoicing, and reporting in a nonprofit setting. You will report to the Accounts Receivable Manager and ensure compliance with funders and regulators.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in grant management, a bachelor’s in Accounting or related field, strong Excel skills (Accufund, Certify, Paylocity, Salesforce a plus), and a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in the nonprofit sector.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, Uniform Guidance Title 2 CFR 200, and non-profit accounting policies.
• Excellent Excel skills; familiarity with Accufund, Certify, Paylocity, Salesforce a plus.
• Excellent time-management and confidentiality.
• Must be adaptable and able to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of awards (contracts, grants, charitable contributions) for financial reporting.
• Post-award grant functions including budget/expense analysis, monthly invoicing, labor distribution, final cost reports, and liaising with Grant/Fiscal/Program staff.
• General accounting tasks: reconciliations, AR billing entries, aiding audit processes, cost allocations, month-end close.
• Resolve grant invoice issues, coordinate with funders for information and resolutions.
• Follow up on collection of grants receivable as needed.
• Ensure supporting documents align with billing and budget and comply with stipulations.
• Prepare audit schedules and participate in funder audits as required.
• Other duties as assigned
