Job summary

The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness is seeking a part-time/Hourly TES Compliance Monitor in the Grants Management Bureau, to support planning, application, award, administration, and closeout of grants.

Responsibilities include grant research, preparing applications, developing scoring criteria, and coordinating financial reports; travel to field locations may be required. NJ residency and security clearances apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in budget, administrative practices, or data processing applications with evaluative duties.
• Education options include a BA/BS with 4+ years of relevant experience or higher degrees with related experience.
• Preference for accounting, budgeting, or finance background, especially grant administration.

Responsibilities

• Assist with grant research and planning activities.
• Prepare and administer grant applications and recipient workshops.
• Develop scoring criteria for competitive grants to prioritize organizations.
• Help prepare grant awards, agreements; memorandums of understanding.
• Coordinate grant administration; maintain financial reports and Excel workbooks.
• Conduct compliance monitoring of recipients and report findings.
