Job summary

IEM is seeking a Grants Management Specialist II to join the Homeland Security and Emergency Management team in a full-time role. You will manage the full lifecycle of Public Assistance grants, ensuring eligibility, documentation, reimbursements, and closeout readiness while supporting audits and compliance.

Located near Guaynabo, PR, the role requires collaboration with recipients, subrecipients, and contractors, and entails occasional travel for meetings and fieldwork.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience with FEMA Grants (Public Assistance, 428, 404 or 406 Mitigation).
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, business administration, public administration, emergency management, insurance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit FEMA grant applications and supporting documentation.
• Determine eligibility and reconcile data across systems for recipients and subrecipients.
• Monitor subrecipients and contractors and support audits and closeouts.
• Assist with program policies, procedures, and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and coordinate with stakeholders and Auditors.
