Job summary

Highmark Health seeks a finance professional to manage post-award activities for grants, contracts, and clinical trials within SPFS. You will handle award setup, invoicing, cash management, reporting, and close-out with GAAP and sponsor guidelines in mind.

You will collaborate with program staff to translate financial results into actionable insights, ensuring compliance and timely financial statements while maintaining strict data integrity across systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, budget planning and financial analysis.
• Ability to assess, research, and resolve complex financial issues with sound judgment.
• Deep understanding of financial management in a clinical trial setting and compliance.
• Experience in grant, contract and clinical trial financial administration and knowledge of federal regulations.
• Familiarity with Uniform Guidance and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Compliance management for grants, contracts, and clinical trials.
• Invoicing, accounts receivable, and cash management responsibilities.
• Month-end close: journal entries and financial statements.
• Prepare and deliver financial reports and ad hoc analyses.
• Project closeout and cost-sharing compliance.
• Audit support and internal controls implementation.
