Job summary

Enterprise Community Partners is seeking an Assistant Director of Grant Writing to drive a robust portfolio of funding proposals and donor materials. You will liaise with program leaders and accounting staff to describe affordable housing programs, outcomes and impact, ensuring timely submission to foundations, corporations and government agencies.

You will support nine frontline fundraisers, help shape program budgets, and advance fundraising potential across Enterprise’s divisions,

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of the fundraising process with grant writing experience across foundations, corporations and government agencies.
• Undergraduate degree and 3–4 years of experience in a similar position; management of direct reports is a plus.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with strong command of English grammar, punctuation and syntax.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the grant proposal and reporting process for corporate, foundation, and government funders.
• Collaborate with fundraisers to assess upcoming deliverables and create timelines to manage writing workflows.
• Prepare proposals by gathering information, drafting content, and securing approvals.
• Write, edit, assemble and submit new and renewal proposals, LOIs, reports and stewardship documents per funder guidelines.
• Build relationships across Enterprise’s divisions by developing fundraising strategies and creating program-specific materials.
• Coordinate with accounting and program staff to develop budgets, narratives and financial reports.
• Maintain up-to-date grant materials within the grants management system with internal teams.
