Job summary

Enterprise, a national nonprofit, seeks a Philanthropy Director to lead regional fundraising for the Mid-Atlantic Market and Enterprise Community Development. You will cultivate funders, manage donor relationships, and collaborate across External Affairs to grow support for affordable housing initiatives.

You will develop strategies, identify prospects, and oversee proposals, reports, and stewardship efforts, while traveling within the region as needed.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required.
• Minimum 6-8 years of fundraising experience including corporate and foundation fundraising, grant writing and funder relationship management.
• Track record in cultivating and securing 5- and 6-figure philanthropic gifts.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with strong English grammar.
• Ability to translate complex programmatic information into clear donor-facing materials.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the Baltimore-Washington region and beyond up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop fundraising strategy for the Mid-Atlantic market and Enterprise Community Development initiatives.
• Cultivate and steward funders; identify new prospects and customize strategies.
• Identify, research, and manage relationships with local, regional, and national funders.
• Ensure CRM records and moves management are kept up-to-date.
• Prepare funder correspondence and staff briefings for leadership.
• Collaborate with Grant Writing team to produce proposals and reports.
• Organize donor meetings and events to engage funders.
