Job summary

UCLA seeks a Research Administrative Analyst to support the Center for Domain-Specific Computing (CDSC). The role begins onsite with up to six months of training and may move to a hybrid schedule later.

You will interpret university financial policies, monitor expenditures, and ensure grant compliance for multiple sponsors. Responsibilities include travel administration, reimbursements, and coordinating procurements via Bruin Buy Plus and Concur, while supporting faculty and graduate researchers

Qualifications

• Fund management/contracts/grants experience (Required)
• Knowledge of DARPA, NSF, and other government contracting procedures (Required)
• Financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and contract administration; Excel proficiency (Required)
• Technical writing and editing skills (Required)
• Knowledge of UCLA general ledger and contracting systems; Bruin Buy Plus and Concur Travel Express (Preferred)
• Good communication with sponsors, faculty, and staff (Preferred)
• Analytical problem solving and decision making (Required)

Responsibilities

• Serve as key contact for the CDSC; interpret and implement university financial policies
• Monitor expenditures and analyze cost reports across multiple grants
• Prepare and submit reports, grants, overviews, and briefings
• Lead travel arrangements, reimbursements, and purchase orders via Bruin Buy Plus and Concur
• Arrange visa applications, hotel accommodations, catering, and AV equipment
• Ensure graduate researchers are appointed and funded each quarter
