Traverse City Area Public Schools is seeking a Fund Development Assistant to support the Executive Director of Fund Development with fundraising, donor relations, and grant activities. The role emphasizes data integrity, grant tracking, and coordination of district campaigns.

The position is full-year, part-time (20 hours/week) with a base wage of $22.17/hour, eligible for degree and longevity stipends based on experience in public education. Requires strong communication and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in fundraising, administrative support, grant writing assistance, or non-profit administration.
• Skilled in donor management software, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
• Exceptional written communication skills with attention to detail in editing and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Grant Support and Research: research foundation, corporate, state, and federal grant opportunities; maintain tracking calendar; assist in data collection, drafting narrative and compliance docs.
• Donor Relations and Database Administration: maintain donor records, gift entry, pledges, send acknowledgments and tax receipts.
• Campaign and Event Logistics: coordinate fundraising events, develop promotional materials, and prepare meeting logistics.
• General Administrative Support: prepare financial reports, budget reconciliations, and respond to external inquiries.
