Summary: About the Role:
At Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, groundbreaking research starts with strong support behind the scenes. As a Grant Coordinator, you will play an important role in helping our Health Behavior Department secure funding that advances cancer research, prevention, and patient care.
In this position, you'll partner closely with faculty and investigators to prepare high-quality grant and contract submissions, coordinate proposal development, and keep critical funding activities moving forward. Your organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities will help researchers focus on discoveries that can improve lives.

What You’ll Do:
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of grant and contract applications.
  • Edit, proofread, format, and review proposals to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.
  • Work closely with faculty, investigators, and support staff throughout the application process.
  • Maintain databases and records related to grant submissions and funding activities.
  • Track proposal deadlines and help keep projects on schedule.
  • Prepare and maintain faculty biosketches, publication records, and other required support documents.
  • Provide training and guidance on grant submission processes and requirements.
  • Support ongoing contract administration and day‑to‑day operational activities.
  • Assist with post‑award activities, including reporting, budget tracking, and project documentation.
  • Provide administrative support to the department as needed.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
  • Experience using Workday.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
  1. 1. Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of full‑time experience in grant preparation and editing; or
  2. 2. Associate’s degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full‑time experience in grant preparation and editing.

NOTE: Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.

  1. 2+ years' experience with grant and contract application development.
  2. Experience submitting grant and contract applications in various online platforms.
  3. Experience with post award support (progress reports, budget management, tracking databases).
  4. Experience preparing biosketches and other support documents as well as updating publication records.
  5. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite applications, Excel and WorkDay.
