Job summary

Hillsborough Community College seeks a Grant Accountant to manage financial functions for grants and restricted funds. The role involves monitoring expenditures, reconciling transactions, and ensuring GAAP and regulatory compliance.

The candidate will work with PIs and the grants management team to provide timely information, prepare reimbursements, budget amendments, and journal entries, and support cost allocations. Strong MS Office skills are required; Workday experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and at least three years of prior-related work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).
• Experience with grant expenditures, reimbursements, and cost allocations.
• Must pass Level II criminal background check and participate in US E-Verify.

Responsibilities

• Monitor grant expenditures and reconcile financial transactions to GAAP.
• Prepare and submit reimbursement requests to grantors/funding agencies.
• Prepare budget amendments, journal entries, and accounting adjustments.
• Collaborate with principal investigators and grants management team to provide financial information.
