Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited college or university in accounting or related field.
• Two years progressive work experience in accounting or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (preferred).
• One year of experience using Oracle PeopleSoft Financials Management System modules (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Maintains records and required reports for accounts, projects, grants, or other items in the General Ledger, including filing monthly state reports.
• Monitors transactions and performs required reconciliations, including budget compliance.
• Enters financial transactions in PeopleSoft (journal entries and budget amendments).
• Advises budget managers on variances and adjustments.
• Develops position control reports to ensure grant or budgetary compliance.
• Posts monthly close, performs bank reconciliations, 1099 reporting, and reviews P-Card transactions.
• Examines purchase orders, checks, and travel requests for code classification and policy compliance.
• Supports year-end closing and audits as needed.
