Tampa Family Health Centers is seeking a detail-oriented Grant Accountant to manage the financial tracking and reporting of grants and restricted funding at our Tampa, FL site.

You will monitor budgets, record grant expenses, prepare timely reports for funders, and support audits while partnering with program staff and accounting colleagues to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with grant requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in grant accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in a Grant Accountant or similar role.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Track grant budgets, expenditures, and balances across awards.
• Review transactions for accurate coding, documentation, allowability, and allocation to grants.
• Prepare and reconcile grant-related journal entries and general ledger accounts.
• Monitor spending against approved budgets and identify variances or risks.
• Prepare timely financial reports and expenditures summaries for funders and internal stakeholders.
• Support the preparation of grant budgets, forecasts, and reimbursements.
• Reconcile grant receivables, deferred revenue, and other grant balance sheet accounts.
• Coordinate with program staff to collect, review, and clarify financial information.
• Support audits and monitoring visits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Track reporting deadlines and help ensure financial deliverables are met.
• Recommend improvements to grant accounting processes and internal controls.
