Job summary

North Coast Opportunities Inc. is seeking a Grant Accountant to manage accounting duties for agency revenues, grants, and contracts. This role interfaces with CFO, program directors, staff, grant agencies, and auditors to ensure GAAP compliance and accurate reporting.

The position supports monthly and quarterly reporting, budget monitoring, and revenue postings, with potential for payroll backup and coordination of vendor data.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or related field is required.
• Minimum of two years of accounting experience is required.
• Experience with grant or fund accounting and/or non-profits is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly reconciliation of assigned liability accounts and research discrepancies.
• Prepare bank deposits or Cash Receipts Journals for recording into the General Ledger.
• Assist with preparation and submission of required agency reports (monthly, quarterly and closeouts).
• Monitor contract budgets/financial reports to ensure Agency compliance.
• Prepare and post revenue postings and related documentation to maintain audit trail.
