Iowa Valley Community College District seeks a Grant Accountant / Fiscal Compliance Specialist in Marshalltown, IA. This role oversees grants accounting, budget monitoring, and compliance, providing fiscal guidance to grant managers and leadership.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field with relevant experience and offers a comprehensive benefits package. Base wage ranges from $47,472 to $63,296 annually, depending on experience and education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, public administration, or related field with two years of accounting, grants accounting, public sector finance or fund accounting experience; or six years equivalent.
• Experience with state/federal grants, community colleges, governmental accounting, audit support, or 2 CFR 200 compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform grant budget monitoring, expenditure tracking, account reconciliation, and budget-to-actual review.
• Review grant expenditures and procurement activities for allowability, allocability, reasonableness under regulations, period of performance, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and process grant reimbursements, drawdowns, and financial reports with schedules, payroll/fringe calculations, indirect cost calculations, and federal reports.
• Maintain complete, audit-ready accounting records including invoices, approvals, procurement records, contracts, and inventory docs.
• Collaborate with Grants Director, Finance, HR/Payroll, Institutional Research/Data, and others to resolve fiscal and compliance matters and strengthen internal controls.
