Job summary

Iowa Valley Community College District's Financial Aid Office is seeking a Financial Aid Office Associate to support prospective and current students and parents with all aspects of financial aid, including FAFSA completion and awards disbursement, and to promote financial literacy.

The role also handles daily student record maintenance, work-study expenditures, direct loan processing, and coordination of the college’s default prevention program on the Marshalltown Campus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HSED required.
• Experience in office support preferred.
• Ability to counsel students regarding financial aid opportunities and FAFSA processing.
• Proficient in maintaining accurate student records and handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Assist students and families with FAFSA completion and financial aid processing.
• Counsel students on financial aid opportunities and track eligibility.
• Maintain student financial aid records and input data in PowerFaids; scan documents into Docuware.
• Coordinate work-study expenditures and assist in the loan process.
• Support the college's default prevention program on campus.
