Job summary

MKC in Kansas is seeking a Grain Elevator Manager to direct operations, maintenance, and safety for grain quality control. You will supervise all elevator staff and assist the agronomy department with fertilizer orders while upholding safety and compliance per company policy.

You will also manage grain receipt/shipping, fumigation, grading, drying, and reporting grades and charges, ensuring top customer service and cooperative efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Four years of grain business experience required.
• CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and ship grain efficiently using available staff.
• Maintain grain quality and fumigation per safety guidelines.
• Blend grains to achieve maximum grade and price.
• Provide grain drying services and report grades for charges.
• Inspect and log grades for pricing and storage reporting.
• Enforce safety regulations and budget major repairs.
• Supervise all staff and advise on discipline/performance.
• Assist agronomy with fertilizer orders and field scouting.
• Maintain positive cooperative image and customer relations.
