Job summary

MKC in Abilene, KS is seeking a hardworking team member to assist in agronomy, grain and feed operations. You will handle loading/unloading grain and fertilizer, and support maintenance of facilities and equipment. Emphasis on safe, efficient service and customer interaction.

Responsibilities include operating elevator machinery, ensuring grain quality, and aiding other locations as needed. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a valid 7B Fumigation License preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate and maintain elevator machinery safely.
• Knowledge of fertilizer, seed and grains.
• Ability to obtain 7B Fumigation License.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to adapt to changing tasks and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming grain by unloading trucks and weigh/test when needed; transfer grain to bins efficiently.
• Maintain grain quality with regular inspections and rotate grain as needed.
• Unload feed from trucks and load into warehouse; load feed into customer vehicles as directed.
• Load fertilizer into customer vehicles or deliver as directed.
• Observe OSHA and MKC safety regulations; promote a safety culture.
• Maintain facilities and vehicles per manufacturer specs and MKC maintenance program; document maintenance.
• Assist other locations/departments as requested.
• Maintain a positive image of locations by keeping grounds neat and orderly.
• Provide outstanding customer service to generate repeat business.
