Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in agronomy or related agricultural field or five years of experience in the grain business and the agronomy business.

Responsibilities

• Receive and ship grain efficiently using available staff.
• Maintain grain quality in elevator and improve procedures.
• Blend grains for maximum grade and price.
• Provide grain drying services and report grades.
• Sample and place inspection grade on shipments and report quality by grade.
• Observe safety regulations and conduct monthly safety training.
• Maintain grain handling equipment and coordinate major repairs with management.
• Make agronomic recommendations to customers for effective service.
• Grow customer base and ensure no product problems in territory.
• Maintain NH3 equipment and supply to customers.
• Supervise and train staff in elevator operations and chemical handling.
• Promote teamwork and positive company image.
• Greet customers, assist loading/unloading, and resolve problems with customers.
