Country Partners Cooperative is seeking a Grain Terminal Location Manager for the Gothenburg, NE location. The role focuses on overseeing location operations, grain handling, train loading, and truck movements to maximize profitability.

Responsibilities include budgeting, P&L management, staff coaching, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, NEDEQ, and DOT standards. The manager collaborates with regional leadership on logistics and asset planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Ag Business or equivalent from a 4-year college or university.
• 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop location staff; recruit as needed.

Grain Terminal Location Manager - Gothenburg NE

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

SUMMARY

The role of the Location Manager is to oversee the operations and profitability of the location, by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees. Emphasis of location: Grain handling, train loading, inbound/outbound trucks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and maintain a location organizational structure.

• Coach, develop, and recruit the locations employees by using affective talent management techniques.

• Is responsible for setting and communicating the hours of operation for the location. Ensure that hours are being operated to meet the customer’s needs, and complete work

• Manages expense by approving and working with the budget of location.

• Works with the Regional Manager in asset planning and budgeting.

• Maintains a good working relationship with their peers, direct reports, and management.

• Is responsible for locations budget and executing the budget by managing the location’s P&L.

• Works with VP Grain on grain logistics, train scheduling.

• Manages grain stock by ensuring quality and space management to maximize blends.

• Make sure that the location inventory is being measured and documented on a timely basis.

• Oversees that all equipment and rolling stock is in good working order and properly maintained by following the preventative maintenance program.

• Provide good customer relations.

• Maintain clean and customer friendly work environment.

• Manages the locations health, safety, and compliance programs. Ensuring that the location is in compliance with OSHA, EPA, NEDEQ, DOT, and the Cooperatives Health and Safety Program.

• Performs other activities as directed by their supervisor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises the employees at the location. The Location Manager will conduct supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and employee development; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, coaching, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
