Job summary

AGTEGRA COOPERATIVE in Highmore, SD is seeking a Grain Operations/Scale Operator. The role focuses on weighing incoming trucks, assisting with grain elevator operations, and ensuring trucks are loaded and unloaded accurately.

The position requires operating equipment, maintaining safety standards, and providing courteous customer service to patrons. Experience with grain handling and ERP-type systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma/GED or 0-1 year related experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to perform physical job duties (lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, climb).
• Work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions with PPE including a respirator.

Responsibilities

• Weigh trucks on arrival and communicate grain/grade to attendants.
• Coordinate with Location Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day grain activities.
• Provide high level customer service in interactions with patrons.
• Partner with Grain Accounting for accurate grain documentation and notify customers of dumping hours/delays/opportunities.
• Operate and maintain grain handling equipment and control systems as required.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks and railcars and manage ground piles and blending.
