Job summary

AGTEGRA COOPERATIVE in Huron, SD is seeking a highly motivated Grain Operations Operator to join our team. The role includes weighing trucks, sampling and grading grain, and communicating results to grain attendants and the Location Manager.

You will help maintain the grain room and coordinate with accounting for settlements while staying informed on market opportunities for producers. The position requires physical stamina, ability to work in varied conditions, and adherence to safety policies

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to perform physical duties including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting with/without accommodation.
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions with PPE including a respirator.
• Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet+) and in confined spaces.
• Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts.
• Experience in agriculture (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Weighs trucks on arrival and records weights.
• Samples and grades grain; reports results.
• Communicates grain and grade to attendants and Location Manager.
• Maintains cleanliness of grain room, scale area and equipment.
• Daily communication with supervisor on plans and tasks.
• Collaborates with Grain Accounting on settlements and notifies customers of hours/delays.
• Assists customers with marketing opportunities to sell grain.
• Stays informed on company programs to handle grain accurately.
• Provides daily market prices to customers.
• Follows safety policies and DOT/OSHA guidelines.
