Job summary

Agtegra Cooperative is seeking a Scale Operator (Seasonal Harvest Help) in Huron, SD. You will join our Grain Operations team and handle weighing trucks, sampling, grading, and daily coordination with the Location Manager and grain attendants.

Compliance with safety policies and effective communication with customers are essential. The role involves varied indoor/outdoor conditions, physical work, and potential overtime, with a focus on accurate grain accounting and efficient operations during

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to perform physical duties including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting.

Responsibilities

• Weighs trucks as they arrive at the location.
• Obtains grain samples and grades grain.
• Communicates grain and grade to grain attendants and Location Manager.
• Maintains housekeeping of the facility (elevator, buildings, grounds).
• Communicates daily with grain supervisor/attendants for daily tasks and instructions.
• Partners with Grain Accounting for accurate grain accounting.
• Assists customers with marketing opportunities and grain purchases.
• Keeps grain room, scale area, and equipment clean and functional.
• Respect safety policies and procedures, including DOT drug testing and Vehicle Policy.
• Other duties as assigned.
