Job summary

Bartlett Co. in Council Bluffs, IA is hiring a Grain Elevator Operator for the 3rd shift (11pm–7am), Monday through Friday with overtime including weekends. Compensation starts at $23.00 per hour and up.

Responsibilities include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, loading, and monitoring grain conditions. You will maintain and clean facilities and equipment, and cross-train for a variety of tasks in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English.
• Available to work overtime and weekends.
• Professional demeanor with safety and quality focus.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.

• Receive, store, handle, dry, blend, and load grain.
• Monitor stored grain condition and quality.
• Maintain and clean grain facilities and equipment to ensure safety.

Location: Council Bluffs, IA

Compensation: $23.00/hr and up

Days/Hours: This job will be 3rd shift, 11pm to 7am, Monday thru Friday with overtime as needed, including weekends.

Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs

Material Handled: Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

What you'll be doing:

The duties of this hands-on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Requirements to be successful in this position:

• High school diploma or GED
