Job summary

Bartlett is seeking Elevator Operators in Hamburg, IA. The role involves grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending and loading, with attention to safety and efficient operations. You will monitor grain conditions and help maintain facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities include performing a variety of tasks, working overtime during harvest seasons, and complying with safety policies. High school diploma or GED and reliable transportation are required.

Location: Hamburg, IA

Compensation: $22/hr and up

Days/Hours: This job will be 1st shift. Usual hours are 7:30am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday, with some OT, including weekends. During fall harvest we are open 7 days per week for 12+ hours per day and you can expect to work 6 or 7 days per week during that time.

Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs

Material Handled: Bulk commodities: corn, soybeans, etc

What You’ll Be Doing

The duties of this hands-on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Requirements To Be Successful In This Position

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check

• You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
