Job summary

Bartlett Co. in Kansas City, KS is seeking an Elevator Operator to manage grain receiving, storage, drying, blending, and loading while ensuring safe, compliant operations.

The position runs 1st shift, 6:00am–4:00pm, Mon-Thu with overtime including weekends, and offers a starting pay of $24.00/hr with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO and a 401(k) with match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal English instructions.
• Available to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending and loading of grain.
• Monitor stored grain condition and maintain grain facilities and equipment.
• Cross-train to perform a variety of tasks to support operations.

The Basics

Days/Hours: This job will be 1st shift, 6:00am-4:00pm, Mon-Thu with overtime as needed, including weekends.

Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs

Material Handled: Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

What you’ll be doing:

The duties of this hands-on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Requirements to be successful in this position:

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check
