Bartlett is hiring for a Grain Elevator Operator in Wichita, KS. The role involves hands-on grain receiving, storage, handling, blending and loading, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

You will help monitor grain conditions and keep facilities clean, ensuring a safe work environment for the team. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, English literacy, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to nearby plants and assist with train activities.

The Basics

Location: Wichita, KS

Compensation: $23.00/hr and up

Days/Hours: This job will be 2nd shift, 2:30pm-10:30pm, Mon-Fri with overtime as needed, including weekends.

Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs

Material Handled: Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

What You’ll Be Doing

The duties of this hands-on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Requirements To Be Successful In This Position

• Able to travel to Great Bend KS, Scott City KS, Healy KS, Cherryvale KS and Towner CO to assist with train activities, housekeeping and other projects, as needed
• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check

• This job can be physically strenuous
• You will be expected to be able to work in tight and confined spaces
• You will work at heights
• You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
• This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders
• You will be required to wear PPE
