Bartlett in Council Bluffs, IA is hiring an Elevator Operator for 1st shift, 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday with overtime including weekends. You will work with grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending and loading, using conveyors and legs to move bulk commodities like wheat, corn and soybeans.

The Basics

Location: Council Bluffs, IA

Compensation: $21.00/hr and up

Days/Hours: This job will be 1st shift, 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday thru Friday with overtime as needed, including weekends.

Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs

Material Handled: Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

What You’ll Be Doing

The duties of this hands-on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Requirements To Be Successful In This Position

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check
