Job summary

Bartlett is seeking an Elevator Operator in Kansas City, KS for a hands-on role in grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending and loading. You will monitor grain quality and help keep facilities safe and clean while using conveyors and other equipment.

The position requires overtime and weekend hours, with a 2nd-shift schedule and a commitment to reliability and safety. Medical benefits and retirement plans are part of the package.

The Basics

Location: Kansas City, KS

Compensation: $25.00/hr and up

Days/Hours: This job will be 2nd shift, 1pm to 11pm, Tuesday thru Thursday and 10am to 8pm on Friday with overtime as needed, including weekends.

Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs

Material Handled: Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

What You’ll Be Doing

The duties of this hands-on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Requirements To Be Successful In This Position

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check

• You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
