Job summary

Bartlett is seeking a hands-on Grain Elevator Operator to support receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain. You will monitor grain conditions and help maintain clean, safe facilities.

The role includes cross-training across multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The position operates on the 2nd shift (2 PM–10:30 PM), Monday to Friday, with ample overtime including weekends, and pays $21/hour and up.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and follow written/verbal instructions in English.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to work overtime/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, handle, dry, blend, and load grain; monitor stored grain condition; maintain and clean facilities and equipment for safety.
• Cross-training to perform a variety of tasks within the grain elevator.

The Basics

Compensation: $21/hr and up

Days/Hours: This job will be 2nd shift, 2pm-10:30pm, M-F with ample overtime, including weekends.

Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs

Material Handled: Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

What you’ll be doing:

The duties of this hands‑on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross‑trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Requirements to be successful in this position:

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check
