Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Water Resources team in The Woodlands, TX, with graduation expected in December 2026 or May 2027.

You will work on flood risk education and planning, flood infrastructure planning, and design for stormwater projects for municipalities, agencies and developers. You will support design teams, conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, assist in master drainage planning, and prepare reports and bid documents, collaborating with

Qualifications

• 0–3 years in water resources/public works; new grads encouraged.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or ABET-accredited equivalent.
• Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or plan on obtaining within six months of start date.
• Have a current Texas EIT license or the ability to obtain within 2 years of employment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D.
• Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ArcGIS Pro.
• Familiarity with XP-SWMM, InfoWorks ICM.
• Robust written and verbal communication skills; team player.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams in the design and analysis of water resources design projects.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis.
• Assist in the development of master drainage plans.
• Prepare and review engineering documents and reports.
• Prepare and review plans, specifications and bid documents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
