Alongside the team, you will be assigned to a variety of urban transportation planning and design projects, working to deliver sustainable outcomes for our clients and the communities they serve. The focus for this role will be on supporting civil, roadway, rail, grading and drainage planning and design for transportation projects; however, there are opportunities to develop into other areas of interest.

With guidance from a professional engineer and our global practice network, your responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Developing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs
  • Actively participating in project, client and team meetings
  • Reviewing, preparing, and modifying designs and drawings
  • Analyzing reports, specifications, and studies
  • Understanding and applying relevant design criteria related to civil and track design
  • Working in AutoCAD, Civil3D, BIM and other modelling software to support design
  • Gaining exposure to project, commercial, and client management
  • Undertaking a ‘digital by default’ approach in deliverables
  • Actively participating in our Early Careers Professionals Network
  • Supporting our ‘Purpose’ in everything you do

To be considered for this 2025 position, you’ll need:

  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, transportation or a related field, from an accredited university
  • Methodical approach to problem solving to undertake varied tasks efficiently and independently
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members
  • Excellent technical written communication and attention to detail, with an ability to demonstrate accurate technical drawings and good report writing
  • Excellent teamwork skills, collaborates effectively with colleagues
  • Work towards Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or Revit is favored but not required
  • Demonstrable interest in planning and engineering for transportation projects through relevant experience, such as your field of study, internships, volunteering, or relevant association memberships is considered as an asset
  • This position is located in Seattle, WA. You must be able to reliably commute to our office in this location, per our hybrid working policy.

Salary Range: $78,000 - $88,000
