Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Structural Engineering Graduate - Designer 2 in Chicago, IL to assist experienced engineers in providing engineering solutions and client guidance. You will engage in design, analysis, and development of project documents, while supporting budgets and cross-functional collaboration.

The role emphasizes learning, teamwork, and exposure to SE2050 sustainable design goals within a 100% ESOP-owned environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in civil/structural/architectural engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned engineering tasks of low to moderate complexity.
• Assist in design and analysis of structural systems using various building materials.
• Create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Interact with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical information.
• Support project budgeting, scheduling, and planning.
• Document design decisions and client instructions during progress.
• Collaborate with senior engineers for practical solutions.
• Participate in IMEG quality control processes.
• Stay current on structural engineering trends and innovations.
• Prioritize safety and uphold professional ethics.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from conception to construction.
